Lillian Esther Titus, age 92, of Gallatin, passed away on January 16, 2015.
Mrs. Titus was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a woman of faith who loved the Lord, and read her Bible every day. She was a member of the Hendersonville Seventh-day Adventist Church. Mrs. Titus enjoyed working in the garden with her husband of 63 years planting flowers, raising vegetables, and canning everything from peaches to applesauce. She played the piano and was known to many as "the Walker". She loved to walk outdoors enjoying the birds and the sunshine. On days when she couldn't get outdoors, she would enjoy walking the halls at The Hearth saying hello to the other residents and staff.
She is preceded in death by her devoted husband John Henry Titus and their loving son, Donald Titus. Donald was killed in action as a Medic during the Vietnam War in 1968 at the age of 21, receiving the Silver Star and Bronze Star for his bravery and sacrifice.
Mrs. Titus is survived by her daughter, Sharon (Mike) Harrell; grandchildren, Jolene (Jonathan) Sharp, Ryan (Debbie) Harrell; and great-grandchildren Corin and Eline Sharp and Benjamin and Luke Harrell.
