A pure-hearted young woman who loved deeply, passed away unexpectedly on August 8, 2016. Though Liliana's time with us was limited to her sixteen years, she forever changed the lives of her family and friends.
A beautiful soul who easily felt compassion toward those less fortunate, Liliana would occasionally be moved to tears for humanity's suffering. Though she'd pray fervently for those in need, Liliana pined to do much more. She will forever be remembered as generous, sensible, funny, creative, and even musical.
Liliana loved to laugh and her joy was contagious to those around her. Her kind-heartedness was tangible to everyone who knew her. Though she didn't have a favorite place to be, she was happy wherever she found herself surrounded by those who loved her most, her family and friends.
When recalling her creative side, we easily remember her drawings of family, friends, animals, and cartoons. She was a phenomenal artist! Her creative abilities were also apparent in the kitchen. She enjoyed cooking and baking, and even aspired to becoming a professional chef. Crepes were Liliana's specialty, and though it took her some time to perfect her recipe, she made the most delicious crepes around. Some were filled with strawberries and cream, while others had a pizza filling. Food was a passion for her. Her favorite dishes include spaghetti and sauce without meatballs, her dad's eggs with tomato sauce, estrellados, and her sister, Julieta's rice. She also had a sweet tooth and was fond of Nutella, peanut butter, and the Frapés from McDonald's.
We will miss hearing her voice burst into spontaneous song, her laugh, her kindness, her smile, and her many selfies. Her love will live on in our hearts.
She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents; Valentin Dubon Garcia and Maria Petrona, Felipe Bahena, and Elias Castro; and great-uncles, Gregorio Garcia Dubon, Evelio Bahena, and Bonifacio Castro.
Liliana is survived by her proud and loving parents, Belarmino and Verenice Dubon; sisters, Julieta, Emily, Beverly, and Sulema Dubon; two uncles; five aunts; many cousins and other extended family members; grandparents, Samuel and Juliana Dubon, Jaquelino and Isidra Bahena; her beloved boyfriend, Austin Lee Grant; friends, Valeria Lopez, Marletta Marie Gloria Grant; and countless other treasured friends.
