Mr. Leonard Hutt, age 98, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, September 27, 2017.
He was born August 2, 1919, in Schenectady, New York, son of Leonard Philip and Florence Hutt. Leonard was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Philip and Martin and his sister Mary Ottman.
Leonard grew up in Schenectady, attended Michigan State University, and worked for General Electric in the SAC department. He was transferred to Hendersonville in 1977 and retired after 41 years of service.
Leonard's passion was golf. He won many trophies over the years, had seven hole-in-ones, and was Club Champion in 1948 at the Edison Club in New York. Leonard was one of the founders of the Edison Club's Scratch League in 1952, which thrives today. He was also a founder of the Tennessee Traveling Seniors Golf Association.
Survivors include his devoted wife Ann, two sons Thomas of Hendersonville, Robert of Los Angeles, grandchildren Julia and Henry, and many favorite nieces and nephews.
He loved God, his Church, family and friends.
We will miss this kind, honest and loving man.
A Life Celebration Mass will be held at Our Lady of the Lake on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at 12pm. Family will receive friends from 11am until the hour of service.
