A romantic at heart, a kind and gentle soul, a family man ... these are the sentiments that are echoed through the minds of many in remembrance of Lawrence G. Winkler. He held tight to his family who meant the absolute world to him. He was always interested in their activities and never missed a game. Golf was his next love. Some might say he was born with a putter in hand as he played the sport every chance he got, and in later years, watched as much of it on TV as he could muster. On another note, the Cubs were his favorite baseball team, cheering them on in outstanding moments and during the very lean times. As far as a sitting sport, Larry was ever the casino enthusiast. --- ("Dang you, Judy!) Back in the day, "Wink" and Judy could really cut a rug! He loved any excuse to enjoy being with family and made every holiday and birthday a notable and special occasion. And oh! The rhubarb pie from Aunt Margaret ... he loved it! Not to mention tomatoes and salt, and of course, a cold Bud. He will be forever loved, missed and remembered by so many.
