Larry
I can't believe that you are gone.
Something went so very wrong.
We probably will never know
what happened - that took you so.
The hospital knows, but they're not saying.
It left us nothing to do but praying.
So many people were praying for you,
Friends, family, and friends of family, too.
We prayed and prayed,
but we could see,
that our prayers were not answered,
the way we wanted them to be.
The last time you were ill, you came through it OK,
So we thought it would happen again, that way.
But they robbed you of a chance to say goodbye.
Did you hear us talk to you, and cry?
I hope you were comfortable and not in pain.
Memories of that night will always remain.
I hope that now, you are at peace,
as your earthly troubles cease.
Like Kevin, it's not right to lose son or brother.
But here we are, we have lost another.
We miss, you, Larry, we always will.
In heaven, with Dad and Kevin, forever chill.
Memories of childhood, throughout the years
flood my mind, through all the tears.
Memories of holidays, vacations, and fun,
memories of family with a brother and son.
Memories of your life, a life that has passed -
another father, son, and brother, taken too fast.
The memories remain, even though we are apart,
The memories of you will always be in my heart.
Your memorial service was sad, but nice.
You would have liked it - even beer on ice!
All of your family and friends were there.
Loving you, missing you, and showing they cared.
Perhaps you saw us, celebrating your life -
Mother, siblings, kids, friends and wife.
I hope you saw how much we all care,
As we looked at photos and had memories to share.
Sadly, life goes on, and so will we,
But you will not be forgotten, I hope that you see.
We love and miss you, Larry - I know that you knew.
Please tell Dad and Kevin that we miss them, too.
Barb
