Laura Emogene McGee Jackson - Age 90, of Hendersonville, passed away Thursday November 26, 2015.
Preceded in death by husband, Ernest L. Jackson; parents, Ruby and Silas McGee; Aunt Nell; brothers & sisters; beloved, in-laws, Silas "SR" (Ernestine), John A. (Stella), Twin Maxine (Alex Cook), Orval, Donnie, Norman (Kay), and Mary Nell McGee; sister-in-law, Sue McGee; brothers-in-law, Ralph, Larry, and Harry Jackson. Survived by brother, Clarence McGee (Linda), sisters-in-law, Ruth McGee, Bee Bee McGee, Yvonne Jackson and Edna Jackson; son, Ron Beck (Rebecca); daughter, Denise Jackson-Holder; granddaughter, Shawnna Curtis (Josh), great-grandsons, Parker & Evan Curtis; a large joyous family of nieces, nephews, their children and grandchildren that she adored and is a main reason she lived to be 90.
Jean loved to travel, especially with the Shriner's Singles Club for vacations and sightseeing. Card games with her buddies at the Al Menah Temple. Weekend trips to Tunica, Evansville to play the penny machines and great dinners with her buddies. She was a daughter of the American Revolution.
All who knew Jean immediately met an outgoing lady who really cared about her friends and family in a deep and personal level.
And Jane, thanks for the Wednesday hair-do's and curls. She will be always be loved and missed by all.
A Life Celebration will be 11:00am Thursday at Hendersonville Funeral Home with burial to follow at Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00pm - 8:00pm Wednesday & 10:00am -11:00am Thursday at funeral home. 353 East Main Street, Hendersonville, TN, 37075, 615-824-3855
