Larry Johnson

Larry Ronald Johnson, age 83 of Hendersonville, TN passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, September 11, 2018. Larry was born January 13, 1935 in Kentucky, son of the late George and Ruth (Ivey) Johnson. In addition to hunting, Larry was also passionate about motorcycles, sports cars and boating. After working over 30 years as a sales manager and VP from United Service, Larry retired in 2001. He was a past President of the Hendersonville Rotary Club and proud member of the Gideon's as well as longtime member of Central Baptist Church. Above all else, Larry will be remembered as a kind hearted and uplifting man who never got angry and always found the positive in any situation. On February 14, 1959 Larry was united in marriage to his loving and faithful wife of over 59 years, Wilma (Edwards) Johnson, who survives. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and a brother-in-law, Lonnie (Donna) Edwards. Family will receive friends on Monday, September 17 from 4-8pm at Hendersonville Funeral Home and again on Tuesday from 10-11am where a celebration of life will follow on Tuesday at 11am. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hendersonville Funeral Home.
