Kathleen Plaskett

Kathleen (Kathy) Susan Plaskett (nee Raney), age 74 of Springfield, Tennessee, peacefully passed away September 19, 2024 surrounded by family. Born in Indianapolis, Indiana on August 9, 1950 Kathy was raised in the Catholic faith. On November 19, 1966 she married her high school sweetheart, with whom she shared life’s adventures until his passing in 2016. Together, they traveled the country, relentlessly cheered for the Chicago Cubs, and raised five children. When Kathy was not reading a romance novel, she could be found putting together a jigsaw puzzle, playing bingo, or caring for her family by cooking their favorite meals. She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Raney, brother, Jack Raney, sister, Rose Raney, husband of nearly 50 years, Robert (Bob) Plaskett, Jr., son, Robert (Bobby) Plaskett, III, and granddaughter, Lizzie Plaskett. She is survived by her brother, David (Crissy) Raney; children; Tracy (daughter-in-law), Duane, Darcy, Justin (Kim), and Jeremiah (Elise), grandchildren; Kylee, Amelia, and Brynden, as well as several nieces and nephews, and extended family dear to her heart. The family will celebrate her life in a service held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, Kathy asked for donations to be made to the American Heart Association in her memory.
