Judy Dorris
October 3, 1947 — August 25, 2015
Judy Pauletta Dorris - Age 67, of Hendersonville, TN passed away on August 25th, 2015.
Ms. Dorris spent many years as a 2nd grade teacher at her mother's school, Mrs. Dorris's Kindergarten and School, before receiving her Master's Degree where she continued her passion of working with children as a Speech-Language Pathologist in both the Sumner and Cheatham County School Systems. "Aunt Judy", as every one called her, was an incredibly imaginative and loving woman with an infectious smile and spirited personality. Ms. Dorris exhibited her love for children as she helped shape and mold them with her unique and optimistic outlook on life. The positive impression she left on young ones will be felt for many years to come. "As many of her former students and friends say, she was everyone's Aunt Judy. It was truly an honor to be her sister, niece and nephew and to share her with so many who thought of her the same." Beverly, Amy and Michael.
Preceded in death by her parents, Paul O. Dorris & Lorene T. Dorris. Survived by her sister, Beverly Dorris Harris; brother-in-law, Michael H. Harris; nephew, Michael P. Harris; niece, Amy Harris Kovarsky.
A Life Celebration will be held 10:00am Saturday, August 29 at Hendersonville Funeral Home with Pastor Keith Parker officiating. Burial to follow in Hendersonville Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 4:00pm - 8:00pm Friday & 9:00am - 10:00am Saturday at the funeral home.
