Juanita Pettus

Juanita “Nita” Pettus of Madison, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2022.

She was the daughter of the late James Samuel Richardson and Lucille Boulton Richardson; and a devoted wife to the late Dr. Robert Leo Pettus, Jr. for 61 years.

Nita worked to put her husband thought medical school and then assisted him in his medical practice along with raising their three children, Robert Leo Pettus, III, Shauna Luann Pettus, and Stephen Richardson Pettus.

She was a devout Christian and a member of Neelys Bend Church of Christ and Madison Church of Christ. She loved traveling with her husband and family, enjoyed collecting antiques, and loved to paint ceramic.

Nita was kind and generous. Her joy for life and family will remain in the hearts of her loved ones forever.

Services to celebrate Nita’s life will be held at Hendersonville Funeral Home, at 11 A.M. on Monday, July 25, 2022. Visitation with the family will begin at 9 A.M.
