Joyce (Dill) Wise, passed away on November 2, 2023. Joyce was born on April 4, 1946, in Southside, Tennessee to James Robert Dill and Inez Jeanette (Murphy) Dill.
Joyce loved sports, especially the Atlanta Braves, Kansas City Chiefs, and the Vanderbilt Commodores. She was an independent, strong willed, very direct, and somewhat stubborn woman. Joyce lived her life to the fullest and fiercely loved her family. Joyce loved the Lord and attended Hendersonville Free Will Baptist Church. She worked many years at BNA, made a career change and began driving OTR trucking which allowed her to travel the country. Her love, humor, and direct ways will be missed.
Joyce is preceded in death by her parents, James and Inez Dill, daughter, Katrina Evans, granddaughter, Amber Mangrum, and brothers, Steve Dill, Douglas Dill, and Larry Dill. She is survived by her sons, Jimmy (Cyndi) Dill and Jackie (Cindy) Moore, granddaughter, Jennifer Soujon (Don Davis), great-granddaughters, Kinsley Mangrum and Gracie Soujon, brother, Russell (Ann) Dill, sisters, Betty Dill, Frances Parker, and JoAnn (Bobby) Leatherman. In addition, she is survived by her son-in-law, Robby Runke and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, from 5pm-8pm at Hendersonville Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at 12pm with visitation beginning at 10am until service time. Burial will follow at Hendersonville Memory Gardens.
