Joyce Salter, age 59, of Hendersonville, TN went to be with her heavenly father Thursday, October 25, 2018. She was born November 9, 1958 in Nashville, TN to the late Alvin Martin and Mildred Haskins. Besides her father, she is also preceded in death by her brothers, Alvin Martin Jr. and Doug Martin; sister, LaDonna Ellis; and mother-in-law, Alice Salter.

Joyce was an amazing cook who loved hosting holiday dinners for her family and friends. She enjoyed visiting thrift stores, music and art. She is remembered by her family as a wonderful gardener. Joyce worked at Nashville Wraps in Hendersonville for 20 years.

Joyce is survived by her husband of 42 years, Mike Salter; daughters, Jamie Salter, Brandy Craig (Bill) and Kristen Salter; son, Brandon Salter; mother, Mildred Haskins; brother, Johnny Martin (Dara); sisters, Shelia Dyer (Teddy) and Lisa Napier (Shannon); and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Monday, October 29th from 5 - 8 p.m. and Tuesday, October 30th from 9-10 a.m. at Hendersonville Funeral Home. A Life Celebration service will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Hendersonville Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the garden of the cross at Hendersonville Memory Gardens.
