Joseph John Hrasna, Jr.

Joseph John Hrasna, Jr. of Hendersonville passed away on October 7, 2023, at the age of 96. Joseph was born on June 2, 1927 in Newark, New Jersey to the late Joseph John Hrasna, Sr. and Mary Hrasna. 

Joseph loved music. He enjoyed playing piano, singing, and writing music. In addition to his musical talents, Joseph had a passion for bowling. Joseph was also a talented woodworker. Joseph also enjoyed visiting and selling at the flea market. 

In addition to his parents, Joseph is preceded in death by his wife, Delores Hrasna; and his brothers and sisters.

Joseph is survived by his children, Suzie Meissner (Dave), Joseph John Hrasna III, and Nancy Cooper (Mike); grandchildren, Dylan Meissner, Lindsay Willis (Alan), Joey Hrasna (Stacy), Byron Michael Halford (Erica), Melissa Thompson (Dustin), Samantha Stephens (Travis), and Andrew Halford; and 8 great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on October 11, 2023, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Hendersonville Memory Gardens Funeral Home & Cremation Center located at 353 E Main St in Hendersonville. Visitation will also take place before the service on October 12, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM on the same day. Interment will be held at Hendersonville Memory Gardens following the service.

His memory will forever be cherished by his family and friends. May he rest in peace knowing that his music and love will continue to resonate in our hearts.
