Joseph E. Crane, age 88, of Nashville, TN, passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2016. Joseph is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Drucilla Hall Crane.
Joseph is survived by his children; Dale Crane and Brenda Gentry, grandchildren; Jonathan Crane, Heather Gentry, Erinn Badger and Seth Crane. Joseph is also survived by his brother, Don (Jane) Crane.
Joseph was a U.S. Navy veteran and served during WWII as a medic. He was also a teacher for over 30 years and taught Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Joseph was a pastor and studied at Ft. Worth Seminary where he obtained his first Master's Degree. He was pastor at Holiday Heights Baptist Church in Hendersonville, TN. Joseph was also a master gardener. He cultivated orchids and was president of the Hobby Greenhouse. Joseph enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and will be dearly missed.

Burial will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Goodlettsville with Military Honors, at 1:00 PM today.
Pallbearers will be Dale, Jonathan, Brad and Brandon Crane, and Steve and Ben MacIntyre.
DUE TO THE INCLEMENT WEATHER TODAY, THE FAMILY HAS CHOSEN TO CANCEL THE FUNERAL HOME SERVICE FOR MR. CRANE TODAY. THE GRAVESIDE SERVICE AT FOREST LAWN MEMORIAL PARK IN GOODLETTSVILLE WILL PROCEED AS SCHEDULED. PLEASE MEET AT THE CEMETERY ENTRANCE AT 12:45pm, IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO ATTEND THE GRAVESIDE SERVICE.
