Mr. John Steven Yunker "Steve" age 70, of Goodlettsville, TN, passed away on Sunday, January 31, 2021.

Mr. Yunker was born in Nashville, TN, on August 2, 1950, the son of Mary Elizabeth Evans Yunker and the late John Wilburn Yunker. He graduated from Stratford High School in 1969. Mr. Yunker proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He retired from City of Hendersonville after thirty-three years of service as the plumbing inspector. Mr. Yunker received the Lifetime Achievement Award from TN Plumbing and Mechanical Inspectors Association where he formerly served as president. He filmed Beech High School football games for twenty years. Mr. Yunker was a member of The Church at Grace Park Baptist Church. He loved his family and especially spending time with his grandchildren. Mr. Yunker enjoyed deer hunting and sports. He will be remembered for always helping others, his big personality, and a contagious smile. In addition to his father, Mr. Yunker was preceded in death by a brother, Kim Yunker.

In addition to his mother survivors include his wife, Pam Yunker; two sons, Brad Yunker (Amy) and Brian Yunker; two grandsons, Alex Yunker (Brookelynn) and Wesley Yunker; and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, February 6, 2021, at 1:30 P.M., Hendersonville Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery with military honors.

Gathering of Family & Friends will be held Friday from 4:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. and Saturday from noon until the funeral hour at Hendersonville Funeral Home.
