John A. Siddons, 82, of Hendersonville, TN, passed away on Friday, September 27, 2019 of heart failure.
John was born on September 14, 1937 to John S. Siddons and Esther Olson Siddons in Pekin, IL. He was the second of five children.
After graduating from Bremmen High School in 1955, he went on to work as a machinist at ACME Steel and was later promoted to crane operator.
In 1956 he met Patricia Sinise and they married a year later. They went on to have 5 children Jody Waugh, Tammy Boehms, John Siddons, Lisa Lofton and Tricia Murdoch.
In 1971 he left ACME Steel and partnered with Terry Kunes to open Terry's Leisure Living in Orland Park, IL. In 1981, he moved to Brentwood, TN to open his own recreational vehicle dealership in Nashville, TN. That business ran for over 30 years when he retired.
After retiring he purchased a home in Estero, FL and he and Pat became regular snowbirds.
John was preceded in death by his father John S. Siddons, his mother Esther Olson Siddons, and his eldest sister, LaDonna Sorensen. He is survived by his wife Patricia Siddons, children Jody Waugh (husband Michael); Tammy Boehms (husband Kevin); John Siddons (wife Beverly); Lisa Lofton and Tricia Murdoch (husband John). He is survived by his grandchildren Christopher Waugh, Justin Waugh, Brandon Boehms, Brooke Buie, Brittney Lofton, Bridgette Beard, Kurtis Boehms, John Tyler Siddons, Shelby Siddons, Ben Murdoch, Hailey Murdoch, Kennedy Murdoch, and Coley Murdoch. He is survived by his great grandchildren Morgan Buie, Addyson Buie, Amiyah Beard, Kaliyah Beard and Candace Lee. He is also survived by his sisters Patricia Callan and Elinore Thielen and brother George Siddons.
A celebration of life service for John will be held at Hendersonville Funeral Home, 353 East Main Street in Hendersonville, at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, October 1st. Visitation for family and friends will begin at 3:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in John's name can be made to the American Heart Association at www.heart.org or the American Diabetes Association at www.diabetes.org.
