John W. Park, age 84 of Gallatin, TN passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, March 10, 2019. John was born September 25, 1934 in Franklin, IN, son of the late Raymond and Loraine (Graham) Park. After growing up working summers on the farm, John went on to find great success in life, helping and mentoring countless people over the years. He served as President/Owner of Globe Business Furniture for many years and was Sr. VP of GRI, Inc. and President of Ithaca Gun Company. He had an amazing sense of humor and was always laughing and making others laugh as well. John was previous president of the Hendersonville Chamber of Commerce, past President of the United Way and was an active member of the Hendersonville First United Methodist Church and the Poe Williams Sunday School class. John enjoyed playing golf and spending time on the lake. Above all else, John loved his family and enjoyed spending all his spare time with them. On February 2, 1973, John was united in marriage to his loving and devoted wife of over 46 years, Daryl (Arnold) Park, who survives. Also surviving are his 4 children, Marilee Hill, David Park, Steven (Jeanne) Park and PJ (Holly) Park; 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; brother, Dr. Richard Park; several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 13 from 10:30am-12pm at Hendersonville Funeral Home (353 E. Main St; Hendersonville, TN 37075) where a celebration of life will follow at 12 noon. Interment will follow at Hendersonville Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the staff at NHC Gallatin for the amazing service and loving care they provided to John and his entire family.
