KOLEMBA, John C.-Age 92, went to be with the Lord on January 26, 2013. He was born September 16, 1920 in Mount Tom, MA. He is preceded in death by parents, John and Anelia Wojtyna Kolemba; wife, Frances Tillie Kolemba; siblings, Charlotte Fleming and Charles Kolemba both of MA; John Served in WWII as a B-24 pilot. He was stationed in Italy with the 15th AF/454 BG. He was awarded a Distinguished Flying Cross and Air Metals with clusters. John was a member of Hendersonville First Baptist Church and a member of the Bill Hall Sunday School Class. He worked for PPG Commerical Glass Division and after retirement worked for Simmons Glass. He is survived by sons, John E. Kolemba Margaret, deceased, Charles Steven Kolemba, Mark H. Kolemba Sherry; grandchildren, Tara Kolemba, Scott Kolemba Cinda, Johnna Kolemba, Brittainy Jones Brandon and Allison Kolemba; great-grandchildren, London Smith and Ryman Jones; neice, Keli Stewart. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff and caregivers at NHC Hendersonville. In Lieu of flowers the family requests with gratitude that contributions be made to Hendersonville First Baptist Church. A Life Celebration Service will be held on Thursday at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Hendersonville Funeral Home with Dr. Bruce Chesser officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
