John Albert Hull, 69, of Goodlettsville, passed away Saturday, July 22nd, 2017 following a courageous battle with cancer. He was the Operations and Maintenance Director at Rivergate Mall for 14 years.

He was born on October 23rd, 1947 in Fenton, MO. He grew up in St. Louis County and was a Missouri resident for 50 plus years. As a young man, John served his country honorably with the Unites States Army as a decorated Combat Platoon Leader in the Vietnam War.

John was a master of anything he put his mind to. He appreciated a job well done and enjoyed building, raising roses and cultivating his yearly vegetable garden. He was a convenient fisherman, avid golfer, and worthy card player.

He leaves, to cherish his memory, his sons Scott Hull of Hannibal, MO, Bryan (Gina) Hull of Hendersonville, TN, and daughter, Line' (Keith) Stenberg of Joelton, TN; grandchildren Tyler Hull, Sydney Hull, Megan Hull, Gavyn Hull, Liam Stenberg, Evelyn Stenberg, and Brandon Binkley; his brother James (Mary) Hull of Villa Ridge, MO; sister Peggy Rosenbloom of Union, MO; 8 nieces and nephews and many other extended loved ones that were favored to call him family.

He was preceded in death by his father and step-mother James and Ginny Hull. A man of great depth and few words, he loved his family ferociously. He was honest, steadfast and will be missed beyond comprehension for he was a man beyond compare.

"The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well." - Ralph Waldo Emerson

Services for John will be held at a later date. Hendersonville Funeral Home has been entrusted with his care and arrangements.
