John Evens

Mr. John Robert Evens, age 95 of Hendersonville, TN passed away October 28, 2014.

Mr. Evens was a proud WWII Veteran of the U.S. Navy, stationed in the Pacific and member of the Hendersonville FUMC. He met the love of his life, Mrs. Shirley Johnson Evens to whom he was married for 66 wonderful years.

Mr. Evens is preceded in death by his parents, George and Myrtle Evens; brother, William A. Evens, and sister, Marie Phillips. He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley J. Evens; son, Rhett Evens (Chris); daughter, Stacy Thompson (Michael); grandchildren, Taylor and Tory Thompson, Kandy Kaul, Aaron Evens; great grandchildren, Kolin and Kaden Kaul; niece, Marrinell and nephews, Jim and Casey.

The family would like to send a special thanks to Casey and Patti; caregivers, Sherry, Donna and Marissa, and the staff of High Point Hospice.
