Joe Ford, 63, of Castalian Springs departed to his heavenly home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 22, 2017. He was born on January 23, 1954 in Midland Texas. He is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years Karen Ford; mother, Harriet (Happy) Ford; daughter, Rebecca (Duane) Vance; son, Daniel (Jacki); granddaughters, Sarah Joy and Emilia; grandson, Nathan; brother, Ken (Sue); sister, Jana (David). He is preceded in death by his father, Frank Hodges Ford, and grandparents; Hattie Lou Young Harsh and Kenneth Martin Harsh

His family described him as, "helpful, extremely hard working, dependable and loving". His Christian faith was the basis on which he lived his life. In his life, he was blessed to serve his Lord by going on Mission Trips to Thailand, Haiti and Panama. He was exceptionally proud of his children and was an amazing grandad. He never met a stranger and would give the shirt off of his back for anyone in need. He worked as a Master Mechanic for many of years and after retirement he decided to pursue being an EMT and a Firefighter. Joe was a "Jack of all Trades" and he loved to work on all kinds of projects. He learned to play the Banjo as a teen and took Fiddle Lessons. He enjoyed listening to Gospel and Bluegrass music. Mr. Ford will be missed by all who were graced by his presence.

A Life Celebration Memorial Service will be held at House of Grace Church in Gallatin, TN on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at 12p.m. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the hour of the service at House of Grace Church.
