Joe T. Adair, Jr.-age 81 went to be with the Lord on October 16, 2016. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Oneeta Adair, Sr. and brother, Rodney Adair. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Ann Adair; daughters, Lynnisse (Mozy) Roshanfar and Lorie (Gary) Heinz; grandchildren, Alena Roshanfar, Mitra Roshanfar, Christopher (Ashley) Roshanfar, and Riley Heinz; great-grandchildren, Jacob Roshanfar; brother, James (Phyllis) Adair; sister-in-law, Rosa Adair.
As a young man Joe served our country in the Naval Reserve. On December 5, 1959 he married his sweetheart Ann after a 5 year courtship. They had two beautiful daughters Lynnisse and Lorie. Joe worked with the WSMV television team as a Cameraman for 45 years. He retired as chief cameraman.
Family was always a top priority for Joe, and he showed this by devoting his time to them. His daughters will always remember playing ball in the yard, walking around the neighborhood and dancing on his feet, as being some of the best times of their childhood. He was also a wonderful grandfather that adored his grandchildren. Though family was always priority for him, his relationship with the Lord came first. He and Ann were members of First Baptist Church Hendersonville for 49 years, where he played a very active role and lived out his faith. Joe enjoyed food of all kinds and he was an avid golfer.
Joe will live on forever in our memories as a hard-working, devoted, and loving husband, father and grandfather. He touched the lives of many and will be missed by all who knew him.
A celebration of life service will be held Thursday at 11am with Pastor Bruce Chesser officiating. Visitation with the family will be held on Wednesday from 4pm-8pm and Thursday from 10am-11am at Hendersonville Funeral Home 353 E Main St Hendersonville, TN 37075.
