Age 76 of Hendersonville, TN passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2016.
Jo Ann, a member of the class of 1958, was a graduate of Issac Litton High School. As her high school career came to a close, she joined the workforce in the field of banking. She was a dedicated, hard-working woman who devoted thirty-plus years to her profession. In fact, Jo Ann spent nearly half of her career serving her community at the Hendersonville Branch of First Tennessee Bank. When recalling her memory, her family will always remember her legacy as a caring, kind-hearted, compassionate, loyal, giving, thoughtful woman. It could even be said that she was "kind to a fault" and may have invested trust in some before it had ever been earned. Aside from her devoted service to her career, Jo Ann loved her family.

Her beloved daughter Holly recalls regular summer trips to Opryland and to the local swimming pool. Although these vacations were never far from home, they were quality staycations which will forever be etched into her memory. Mother and daughter enjoyed a wonderful and deep relationship filled with great love and support. This love, later manifested itself in the intense joy-filled moments spent with her grandsons. Jo Ann's favorite time of year was spring; perhaps because Holly was born in May or because of the newness of life and beautiful flowers in bloom. She was a woman of quiet and constant faith who was a practicing member of the Episcopal Church. When it came to her musical taste, she enjoyed country; especially, Elvis Presley and contemporary Christian music.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Avanell Lowery. Jo Ann leaves behind her loving daughter, Holly Dutton (Lakon) Tucker; grandchildren, Aidan and Dylan Tucker; sister, Judy Lowery (Tony) Garrett; nephew, David (Vicki) Dutton; treasured friend, Mary Jane Hart; and her feline companion "Baby Girl."
