Jo Diane Carpenter-age 77 of Hendersonville, TN passed away December 8, 2016.

When remembering Diane some of the first words that come to mind are strong willed, hospitable, family and faithful. She loved the Lord and served him faithfully as a member of First Baptist Church Hendersonville for 46 years. Diane was also a long time member of the Red Hat Society. She also enjoyed shopping, so it's no surprise that she worked in retail as a sales associate for Castner Knott and then Macy's for 34 years. Diane loved spending Thanksgiving with her family and decorating for Christmas. She was an artist and she also had a passion for antiquing, doll collecting, coke collecting and sewing. She touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Willie Carpenter; parents, Frank Earl Jordan and Carrie Louise DePriest Jordan; sister, Patricia Anne Dudley.

She is survived by her children, Laura Melanie (Gary) Ensminger, Melissa Jana' (Ric) Neal, Cynthia Gaye Brown and Frank Scott Carpenter, grandchildren; Kristi Diane Ensminger, Jennifer Lauren Ensminger, Tyler Neale (Emily) Ensminger, Brittany Nicole Lyons, Chelsey Danielle (Sam) Choquette, Brandon Scott Lyons, Caroline Jenae Brown, Victoria Grace Brown, great-grandchildren; Gabriel Paul Foytik and Oliver Raymond Choquette, sisters; Cara Louise Jordan Potin, Linda Marie Jordan Cotner. Diane is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, December 12, 2016 at 10am in Hendersonville Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 11, 2016 from 3pm-6pm at Hendersonville Funeral Home 353 E Main St Hendersonville, TN 37075 615-824-3855 hendersonvillefh.com
