Ottis Jerry Vest, age 73, of Gallatin, passed away on February 25, 2015.
He was born on July 22, 1941 to the late Ottis and Etwell Marie Vest in Yosemite, Kentucky. He was a Tower Crane Operator for over 30 years traveling throughout the United States before settling in Sumner County in 1977. Mr. Vest was also active many years in the Cincinnati Masonic Lodge becoming an 32nd degree Master Mason.
He is preceded in death by his son Steven Jerry Vest, sister; Jewell Smith and grandson Brandon Covington.
Mr. Vest is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Sylvia Vest, daughters; Debbie (Nelson) Covington and Susan (Tim) Reece; grandchildren Christopher (Krystl) Vest, Ashlee (Michael) Kimbrough, Matthew Covington, Wilson (Anna) Reece, Cassidy Reece, Delaney Reece, Lela Ann Vest and Aidan Daniel Vest; great grandchildren, London Harlow Vest and Grayson Michael Kimbrough; brother, Earl Glenn (Helen) Vest and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, March 2nd at 3pm at Hendersonville Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be on Monday from 1 until the time of service. Burial will follow at Hendersonville Memory Gardens.
