Jerry Norman Cook

Cook, Jerry Norman - age 84 of Hendersonville, TN passed away on September 9, 2023.   

Jerry was a devoted son, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.  He was a graduate of Donelson High School and won the high school talent show with his beautiful voice.  Jerry was a member of many gospel quartets in his younger days and traveled the south performing at various churches.  He lived most of his adult life in Hendersonville, Tennessee where he enjoyed the outdoors and spent many hours perfecting his lawn. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ed & Ruthie Blanche Cook, brother Robert W. “Billy” Cook and step-son Joey Rutter. He is survived by his wife Emma Kate Cook; children, Michael (Elizabeth) Cook, Steve (Monica) Cook, Michael Rutter, Jeffrey (Ann) Rutter; eight grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; sister Peggy (Lon) Mires and sister-in-law Jane Cook.

The family will be having a private Celebration of Life at a later date.

In Lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Jerry’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association Tennessee Chapter.
