Mr. Jerry H. Bess age 76, of Hendersonville, TN, passed away on Thursday, May 3, 2018.

Mr. Bess was born in Nashville, TN, on February 4, 1942, the son of the late Jimmy Bess and Gladys Whittaker Bess. Mr. Bess retired from Sanders Tool & Mould after forty years of service. He will be remembered most for his love for family and friends and his smile. Mr. Bess enjoyed watching his grandchildren, fishing, board games, holidays, sitting around the fire pit, and was an avid Titans fan. In addition to his parents, Mr. Bess was preceded in death by two brothers, Wayne and James Bess.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Ann Bess, to whom he was married on March 1, 1963; a son, Mike Bess; a daughter, Penny Bess Hargett (Ken); five grandchildren, Tony Bess, Chelsey King, Shelley King, Hannah Bess, and Justin Hargett; four great-grandchildren, Katrina Burrow, Jordayn, Serenity Bess, and Cora Edel; a brother, Larry Bess (Patti); and a sister-in-law, Sherry Bess.

A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, May 7, 2018, at 2:00 P.M., Hendersonville Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Hendersonville Memory Gardens.

Gathering of Family & Friends will be held Sunday from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and Monday from 1:00 P.M. until the service at Hendersonville Funeral Home.
