Jerry Ishmal Aydelott, 83, of Hendersonville, passed away on Saturday, June 7th, 2019. Preceded in death by his son, Keith Aydelott and parents; Dahlia and Bernice Aydelott. Survived by his wife, Mary "Toby", of 42 years, children; Kathy Elder (Mark), Gavin "Bo" Aydelott (Teresa) and Donna Keathley, three grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, sister, Nancy Gordon, along with other extended family and friends.

Jerry was born on April 25, 1936 in Madison, Tennessee. He retired from the Tennessee Army National Guard as a SFC/E7 and was past Commander of the Hendersonville American Legion Post 245. Jerry worked as a tile setter and enjoyed working on his yard and playing golf. He was a member of the Hermitage Sportsman's Club and a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Hendersonville. Jerry's family stated he was legendary for his 2 hour long shortcuts and his "harem". Jerry loved his wife, children, and grandchildren very much and will be dearly missed.

A celebration of life service for Jerry will be held at Hendersonville Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 12th at 12:00PM, officiated by Pastor Lloyd Johnson, with burial to follow in Hendersonville Memory Gardens. Family and friends may gather on Tuesday evening from 4:00PM-8:00PM and again one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Jerry's name to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org or to Trinity Baptist Church in Hendersonville.
