Age 40 of Hendersonville, TN passed away on the afternoon of Friday, October 9, 2015.
Jeremy leaves behind a tremendous legacy as a son, brother, uncle, husband, and father. He greatly loved spending time with his family and held family time as a high priority. In fact, holiday gatherings were always special and important to him. His daughters Brooke and Callie brought an abundance of joy to his heart and he loved them with every ounce of his being. He was truly a loving and caring father. He was influenced by all of his family, but it is important to note the role which Billy Seals and Krista Durham played in shaping him into the man he became. He will be greatly missed by his entire family.
In his spare time, Jeremy enjoyed listening to music and working in his garage-workshop. He was a skilled carpenter by trade and could fabricate just about anything including cabinetry and furniture. Woodworking was his passion and he enjoyed creating practical pieces from which others could benefit. In fact, he made many custom items for his family members. In addition to woodworking, Jeremy enjoyed firing up the grill and cooking for family gatherings. He was best known for his one-of-a-kind smoked turkey which was slowly smoked a day before it was to be served.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Krista Durham; brothers, Michael and Kenneth Durham; step-father, Billy Seals; and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Smith.
Jeremy leaves behind his loving wife, Lana Cary; daughters, Brooke Murphy and Callie Buckner; mother, Carolyn Seals; father, Jerry Buckner; brother, Jody Durham; sister, Lisa Buckner; and many nieces, nephews, great-nephews and great-nieces.
The family will receive visitors Wednesday, October 14, 2015 from 4 p.m.-8 p.m. at Hendersonville Funeral Home. 353 E. Main Street, Hendersonville, TN 37075 (615) 824-3855 hendersonvillefh.com
