Jeanette Butler Gutzman, age (she’ll never tell), of Hendersonville passed away on December 22, 2023. Jeanette was born on May 2, 1959 to Charles and Carolyn Butler.
Jeanette was a fabulous educator who devoted 35 years to shaping young minds. She left an eternal mark on countless students, colleagues, friends, family and her community! Jeanette had a gift for seeing something in someone you couldn’t quite see in yourself. She always said she wanted to be a cheerleader growing up, what she became was the ultimate cheerleader for everyone around her!
Jeanette is proceeded in death by her parents, Charles and Carolyn Butler.
Jeanette is survived by her three children, Abby Pace (Adam Pace) of Knoxville, Adam Gutzman (Cassie Gutzman) of Chattanooga, and Zach Gutzman (Maleya Garrison) of Knoxville. As well as her 7 grandchildren, Kylee, Marlee, Iyla, Lilly, Brant, Levi, and baby boy coming March 2024. Jeanette is also survived by her sister, Marcia Reel of Cookeville; brother, Lee Butler of Cookeville; and many nieces and nephews she loved dearly.
A Celebration of her life will be held on January 6, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Hendersonville Church of Christ. Visitation with loved ones will be from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library in Jeanette’s memory.
