Jean Doshna-Granieri, 91, of Hendersonville died Wednesday, February 1st at her home. Born in Shinnston, WV, October 11, 1925 she was the daughter of the late Paul and Blanche Louise (Rockewell) Brooks. She moved to Akron, OH as a young girl and later attended Akron University. Jean completed her degree later in life. She was always a hard worker and devoted mother to her young children, often working two jobs. Her late mother, Blanche, lived with them for much of the time as Jean was predeceased by her three husbands. Her first husband, Paul E. Cain at an early age and later by Peter C. Doshna and Michael Granieri, her 2nd and 3rd husbands. Jean was retired from Alside, Inc. in Akron where she worked as an executive managing payroll and HR departments for several years. At the age of 80 she moved to Hendersonville to be near her son, Jeffrey D. Cain and wife Linda; daughter, Sandra Jill Cain. Jean loved animals, especially her many dogs. She also loved the arts. Jean was an accomplished potter who had her own kiln and also enjoyed painting. In addition to her children, Jean is survived by a granddaughter, Diane Cain; grandson, Brian and Courtney Zuelsdorf and great-grandchildren, Benjamin and Connor.. A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, Feb. 4th at 3 pm at Hendersonville Funeral Home, 353 E. Main St., Hendersonville, TN with Pastor Jeff Lake of First Baptist Church Hendersonville officiating. A visitation hour will be held from 2 - 3 pm Saturday immediately prior to the service.
