Janice Carol Zaricor
“Just because life throws a curve ball at you, never let it throw you off balance. We set our alarm each night with faith that we will receive another day. Make a positive effort to make it count. You have another chance to place your foot forward and walk down the path to your dreams. One day at a time, make it count.”
These were the heartfelt words of Janice Carol Zaricor, who shared her wisdom with so many, even strangers. Her message was a reminder of her boundless compassion and the unwavering encouragement she offered throughout her life. Janice left us unexpectedly on October 31, 2024, but her gentle strength and loving spirit will be felt forever by those who knew her.
Born on April 26, 1955, in Jackson, Tennessee, to the late Earl and Virginia Bickerstaff, Janice brought warmth and generosity to her Hendersonville community for many years. Her gift was in recognizing needs and filling them—often before they were even spoken. Her home was always open, welcoming friends and family like a second home, where she often greeted everyone with a thoughtful gift or a lovingly prepared dish. Known for her incredible cooking and crafting, Janice’s warmth filled every room she entered and every heart she touched. At the center of her life was her deep and abiding faith, which she credited as the source of her quiet strength and joy. We know she is now resting with her Lord and Savior, surrounded by peace and love in Heaven. Janice’s legacy lives on through her beloved son, Gavin Zaricor, whom she cherished, and her daughter-in-love, Amber. She took immense joy in her role as “Nana” to her granddaughter, Ellie, making beautiful memories that will be treasured for years to come. She is also remembered and loved by her sister, Linda Carter (Elbert); her brother, Michael Bickerstaff (Lisa); her nieces Jenny Isble (Josh) and Jessica Burton (Jim); her nephews Joshua Bickerstaff (Kristen) and Mike Carter (Shari); and many great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, and cousins, all of whom felt the radiance of her love and the kindness of her heart.
To honor Janice’s life, we invite you to join us on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at Hendersonville Memory Gardens Funeral Home (353 E. Main St., Hendersonville, TN 37075). Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm, followed by a memorial service from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm.In lieu of flowers, Janice would be deeply honored by a donation to Grace Place Ministry, Inc. (PO Box 1771, Hendersonville, TN 37077), a cause dear to her heart that supports single mothers in building brighter futures for themselves and their families. Your contribution would be a beautiful way to carry on Janice’s legacy of love, faith, and generosity, offering hope and kindness to those who need it most.
