Janice Duke

Janice Marie Duke, 80, passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2023.  Janice was born on August 3, 1942, to Euel and Novoline (Wilkins) Dye in Old Hickory, Tennessee.

Janice was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and sister.  She was a strong Christian woman, teaching Sunday School for many years and was part of a strong church family.  Outside of her family and faith, Janice retired from J.C. Penny after many years in the jewelry department.

Janice is preceded in death by her parents Euel and Novoline Dye; son Rodney Pogue; and sisters Linda Boyd and Sue Martin.  She is survived by her loving husband William “Bill” Duke; sons Jeff (Peggy) Pogue and Patrick Pogue; daughters Araina Duke and Tammy (Kenneth) Bolgiano; 8 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, brother Bobby (Marylou) Dye and extended family.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 13, 2023, from 5pm-8pm and also on Tuesday, February 14, 2023, from 10am-11am at Hendersonville Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be officiated by Jeff Lake on Tuesday, February 14, 2023, beginning at 11am in the Chapel at Hendersonville Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Hendersonville Memory Gardens.
