Mrs. Jane Shirley Anderson Watts, 86, of Hendersonville passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, January 15. She was born in Whitwell, TN on February 7, 1930, the daughter of the late Joe Forrest and Ruth Anderson.

Mrs. Watts was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, reading, sewing, needlework, and leaves "pieces of her heart" to many who were gifted with the beautiful quilts she made. Mrs. Watts was retired from Sumner County Board of Education Food Services where she served Lakeside Park Elementary School as their cafeteria manager. Mrs. Watts was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Hendersonville.

Along with her parents, Mrs. Watts was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Jack L. Watts, brothers: Joe Davis Anderson, Jimmy Lewis Anderson, and sisters Faye White and Nancy Reeves.

She is survived by her children: Robert (Bobby) Watts, Jackie (Paul) Decker, Shirley (Bruce) Johnson, and DeAnna (Nic) Holzmer. She is survived by ten grandchildren, Paul "Ty" (Jennifer) Decker, Tommy (Jenny) Decker, Joey (Lauren) Decker, Laura (Scott) Baldwin, Matt, Amanda, and Lou Holzmer, Daniel, Andrew, and Samuel Johnson; five great-grandchildren, Landon Holzmer and Tyler, Brooks, Hope, and Lynnlee Jane Decker. She is also survived by two sisters, Frankie (Harry) Holland and Linda (Marty) Anderson.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at 10 am in the chapel of Hendersonville Funeral Home with the Reverend Michael Davis officiating. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 from 4-7pm and Thursday from 9-10am. Interment will follow in the Memory Garden Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hendersonville Home
Bound Meals or Hendersonville First Presbyterian Church.
