James Frank Vanderpool was called home on August 25, 2016, to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Frank was born on July 18, 1924 in Elmwood,TN, to Marshall and Clara Vanderpool. He lived a beautiful and glorious life for 92 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, stepmother (Daisy), and his wife of 56 years, Claudine. He had no brothers or sisters, except his four legged horses and dogs, but he was blessed with so, so many wonderful loving friends.
He was a member of First Baptist Church Hendersonville for more than 60 years, where he served as a deacon and greeter for many of those years. He was a retiree of E.I. Dupont where he worked in security for over 35 years. He was also a Mason, Shriner and a U.S Army, WWII veteran.
Frank loved people and he loved sharing his farm by inviting hundreds of children to hayrides and wiener roasts. He encouraged children to ride and pet his horses or just come by and visit. He loved his church and his farm, but most of all he loved the Lord.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at FBC Hendersonville, with Dr. Bruce Chesser officiating, on Saturday, August 27th at 2:00pm. Visitation will be held at Hendersonville Funeral Home on Friday, August 26th from 5PM - 8PM and again on Saturday, one hour prior to the service, at church. Interment will follow the service at Hendersonville Memory Gardens with Military Honors.
In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to First Baptist Church Hendersonville, Backpack Ministry, 106 Bluegrass Commons Blvd., Hendersonville, TN, 37075. This Ministry feeds over 500 children a week on weekends. This is a way to show Frank's love for children.
