James T. "Tommy" Pirtle, 69, of Goodlettsville passed away Monday, January 2nd, at his home. Born, June 16, 1947 in Nashville, TN, Tommy was the son of the late George A. and Annie Mai (Moss) Pirtle. As a young man Tommy had worked for Kroger grocery stores. He most recently worked for Cintas in sales and logistics. He proudly served his country as an Army soldier during the Vietnam War. He had a deep sense of family and was a devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather. An avid outdoorsman, Tommy loved his time spent fishing with his grandson J.C. Tommy is survived by his children, Timothy Pirtle and Lisa Garber; his grandchildren, James Curtis "J.C." and Emily; his great-granddaughter, Mary; his sisters, Sherron Bruce and Sandra Willis; his brother, Doug Pirtle and several nieces, nephews and extended family. Visitation will be held Thursday from 9 a.m. to noon at Hendersonville Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at noon with burial in Hendersonville Memory Gardens.
