Mr. James "Jim" Patrick Parker age 71, of Hendersonville, TN, passed away on Monday, June 24, 2019.

Mr. Parker was born in Nashville, TN, on December 17, 1947, the son of the late Hubert Parker and Pearl Elizabeth Lawson Parker. Mr. Parker graduated from Nashville Central High School in 1965 where he played basketball and graduated college from Lipscomb University. He retired from Coldwell Banker Barnes Real Estate Services after thirty-eight years of service. Mr. Parker was a member of Hendersonville Church of Christ. He loved watching his children play sports and seeing his son, a drummer, march in band competitions. In addition to his parents, Mr. Parker was preceded in death by his brother, Buddy (Louise) Parker and a sister, Delphia Shores.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia "Pat" Read Parker, to whom he was married on June 29, 1974; a son, Brennan Parker; a daughter, Lauren Parker; sister, Jane McCormack; nieces, Gail Parker (Buddy) Kelly and Lori Hurst; and nephews, Tim McCormack and Dewayne Armstrong.

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, June 28, 2019, at 2:00 P.M., Hendersonville Funeral Home.

Gathering of Family & Friends will be held Thursday from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and Friday from 1:00 P.M. until the funeral hour at Hendersonville Funeral Home.

Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Alive Hospice 1710 Patterson Street, Nashville, TN 37203.
