James Howard Craft, 80, of Hendersonville, TN entered into eternal rest August 31, 2017. He was a Tennessee native, and one of twenty-two children; born to the late, George Perry Craft and Myrtle Moore.
James was a loving and dedicated husband of 61 years to his wife, Edna Lucille. Together they raised four children; Lorine Weatherspoon(James), Darlene Hagewood(Mike), Russell Craft(Tammy), and Lucinda Phillips(Jeffrey). They were blessed with 9 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren, who carry on his legacy.
James was devoted to his family even as a young man, and made many sacrifices to be a provider for them. Later, James retired as a Semi-Truck Driver after working 37 years for Sysco Foods. He was a stranger to no-one; known for his hilarious sense of humor, and heartfelt generosity. During retirement, James was not only an avid volunteer for the Sumner County Foodbank, but prioritized serving meals to local veterans at least 3 times a month. He loved the outdoors, and hardly ever missed a Tennessee Titans or Atlanta Braves sports game. James was a Servant of the Lord, and attended Liberty Baptist Church for many years.
