James E. Campbell, 73, of Hendersonville, passed away on April 6, 2018 after a struggle with complications from COPD. Jim loved everyone with whom he came in contact, and never knew a stranger.
Jim was born and raised outside of Detroit, but was transferred to the South (what he called "God's country") by his employer of over 30 years, General Motors. While working for GM, Jim met the love of his life, and was married to Mary Kay for over 46 years. In addition to his loving wife, Jim leaves behind: his son Jeff, his daughter Julie (Russell) Stephens, and four grandchildren, Campbell Grace, Lily Joy, Samuel Will, and Abel True (who all loved their "Papa"), as well as sister, Roberta (Stu) Pankratz. Jim was preceded by his parents, whom he loved.
The family will visit with friends on April 13th at the Hendersonville Funeral Home from 5pm-7pm, and at First Presbyterian Church Hendersonville at 2pm on Saturday April 14th. We will celebrate Jim's life at 3pm following visitation at church.
In lieu of flowers, if you feel so compelled, please donate to the Hendersonville Presbyterian Church or the Hendersonville Community Singers.
