James Herman “Bull” Bachman, age 82, passed away on November 9, 2023 in Hendersonville, Tennessee. He was born in Plainfield, Indiana to the late Marjorie Johnson. He is also preceded in death by his grandmother, Mary Bell Douglas. Jim is survived by the love of his life and wife of 61 years, Alice Bachman; devoted children, Det. Jim Bachman (Fiancée, Katie Blair) and Bridget Brown (Husband, Thomas Brown); grandchildren, Eva Bachman, Noah Bachman, Aiden Bachman, Liam Bachman, Clara Bachman, Kris Brown, Alex Brown, Brittany Ashford, Carson Blair, Gibson Blair, and Leland Blair; great-grandchild, Faith Ashford; sister-in-law, Barbara Campbell (Husband, Joey Campbell); niece, Alicia Burchfield; great nephews, Angel Meza and Mateo Meza; and numerous extended family members and countless friends.
Jim proudly served his country in the United States Army. He served with utmost honor and distinction for 30 years, reaching the rank of Colonel.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 17, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a Masonic Service being held at 7:00 p.m. at Hendersonville Memory Gardens and Funeral Home, 353 East Main St. Hendersonville, TN 37075.
Visitation will also be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Hendersonville Church of Christ, 107 Rockland Rd. Hendersonville, TN 37075. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 P.M.
Committal Service and Military Honors will take place at Hendersonville Memory Gardens immediately following the funeral service.
