Jacquelyn Michele Whited (Jackie) of Hendersonville passed away unexpectedly, yet peacefully, at home April 28th, 2016. She had been fighting an autoimmune disease that affects the liver since diagnosed at the young age of 17, although to nearly everyone, she appeared to be a healthy, vibrant 23 year-old. Battling the physical and emotional effects of this disease and other conditions following a traumatic accident in June 2013 finally took their toll on our beautiful Jacquelyn, and on this sunny spring April day, she was taken to heaven.
About Jackie
When family and friends describe Jackie, they say she was outgoing and lived life to its fullest, cherishing each day. She was beautiful, happy, energetic and colorful and was always smiling and laughing. In fact, many say her smile was super-infectious. Jackie was a strong, optimistic young woman and left a positive impression on many during her short 23 years.
In addition to spending time with her family and friends, she cherished many things, including animals. Jackie had a deep love and passion for animals, especially cats and horses and occasionally spent time at local shelters. She loved to listen to all genres of music, especially 80s and 90s tunes, watch scary movies and create art. Jackie started riding horses at the young age of 8, occasionally worked at the barn, taught others how to ride and did not stop until her accident in 2013. She was also very artistic and enjoyed writing short poems, painting and drawing. Jackie was a great big sister to her little brother Josh and enjoyed kids and babysitting tremendously, especially when "Aunt Jackie" was able to hang out with her niece, Shae Logan Cox.
Jackie's family
Jackie leaves behind her parents, Tina and Robert Whited, two siblings, Jessica Cox and Joshua Whited and her two beautiful cats Munchkin and PP. She is also survived by her niece Shae Logan Cox and by several grandparents, including Robert and Virginia Whited of Gallatin (paternal), and Linda Logan and Nelda Case of Hendersonville (maternal).
