Jackson S. Brumley, a former music executive, died July 29, 2023, at his home in Hendersonville, Tennessee, surrounded by his immediate family. He was 84.
Born June 25, 1939 in Powell, Missouri, he was the son of the late Albert E. and Goldie (Schell) Brumley. A long-time resident of Hendersonville, Jackson graduated from high school in MacDonald County, Missouri, in in 1957 and was a veteran of the United States Army. In his music career, he worked with musicians such as Buck Owens and Ricky Nelson. He dearly loved his family and also his many friends, including those he saw daily at the Hendersonville YMCA.
Jackson is survived by his wife Elke (Dolch) Brumley; his sons Jeffrey Brumley, of Jacksonville, Florida, and Rodney Brumley, of Knoxville, Tennessee, and by his brother Al Brumley Jr. of Monett, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers William, Tom and Bob, and by his sister Betty.
The family will observe a private ceremony and there will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Alive Hospice at 1718 Patterson Street, Nashville, Tennessee, 37203.
