Ivan Leroy Rion, born August 10, 1925 in Farmington, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 in Gallatin, Tennessee. Preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Bertha Rion (Wood), son, Larry Rion, along with 5 brothers and sisters.

Ivan is survived by his beloved wife of 69 years, Kathleen (Katie) Rion, children; Nancy DeGraff (Kenneth) and Rick Rion, grandchildren; Angel Andress (Donnie), Eric Hebert (Melissa), Jordon Rion, Chelsea Rion and 2 great-grandchildren. Ivan is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Ivan served in the U.S. Army in Germany during WWII. He retired working as a computer technician with both Honeywell and General Electric. He enjoyed playing baseball and even played in the minor leagues and was a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals. Ivan and Katie played together in a senior softball league. He enjoyed hunting quail, pheasant and deer, along with fishing and playing golf.

Ivan was a member of Hendersonville First Baptist Church for 41 years. He was a loving and faithful servant of the Lord and would never miss church. Ivan was also a caring and loving husband and father, who taught high moral standards to his children. Ivan was a good man who will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
A Life Celebration service for Ivan will be held in the chapel at Hendersonville First Baptist Church on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 11AM, officiated by Pastor Bruce Chesser. Visitation will begin at 10AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Ivan's name can be made to Hendersonville First Baptist Church.
