Irvin Lewis

LEWIS, Irvin A. "Lew", Nashville, September 21, 2011. Mr. Lewis served in the Army at Ft. Hood. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 716 where he served as secretary for 5 years, a member of the Scottish Rite and was an Assistant Scout Master to Pack 40 Cub Scouts at Harpeth Valley School. He was also a member of Bellevue Baptist Church. A graduate of University of GA with a degree in Pharmacy where he was elected to Phi Kappa Phi and Phi Kappa Chi. Mr. Lewis worked in pharmacy for over 30 years. He worked at Vanderbilt Hospital Pharmacy and Medical Arts Pharmacy, 25 years at Super X Pharmacy and 5 years at Eckerd Drugs Pharmacy. He is preceded in death by his parents, Marscina Hughes Lewis and Leland Horace Lewis. Survived by his wife of 45 years, Virginia Lewis; son, Scott Renee Lewis; granddaughters, Evelyn and Lilian Lewis; sisters, Hilda Easler and Vikki Phillips; brother, Leland Harold Lewis. The life celebration service with Masonic services will be at 2 pm on Saturday, September 24, 2011 at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Shelton officiating. Interment with military honors to follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Cancer Society, 2000 Charlotte Ave., Nashville, TN 37203.
