Huburt Ray Young, 79 of Hendersonville, passed away with his family by his side on Saturday, March 23, 2019. Preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Linda Young, parents, Roy and Pearl Young, brothers, Maurice and Theron Young, sisters, Wilda Kincaid and Evelyn Mutter. Survived by his children, Shellie Tucker (Bob) and Teresa Keele (Evin), grandchildren, Dustin Tucker, Daniel Tucker (Courtney), Mackenzie Savage (Shawn), Savannah Keele-Oakley (Heather), Claudia Keele (Daniel Baldwin), Trevor Keele, great-grandchildren, Bishop Tucker, Sybil Tucker and Paxton Savage and brother, Leonard Young (Linda D.). Huburt is also survived by his special companion, Sue McPherson, along with many extended family and friends.

Huburt was born on March 1, 1940 in St. Cloud, Florida. He relocated to Middle Tennessee to attend Nashville Auto Diesel College. He also attended Russell Street Church of Christ where he met his future wife, Linda White. Huburt began a career in real estate and later became the owner of One Stop Realty for 38 years. He was President of the Sumner Association of Realtors in 1978 and in 1981 he was awarded Realtor of the Year. He was a longtime member of Hendersonville Church of Christ, a member of Senior Moments bible group and was on the management board at Christian Manor. Huburt was also a veteran of the United States Marine Corps., where he was Honorably Discharged as a Corporal. In basic training he was assigned to 3rd Batallion, Platoon #323. Huburt lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed boating and being on the lake along with traveling. He was very involved with his children and grandchilren's lives, attending all their sporting events and activities. Huburt will be dearly missed by his family and by all who knew him.

A celebration of life service will be held at Hendersonville Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 3rd at 11:00AM. Visitation will be from 10:00AM until the hour of the service. Inurnment will follow the service at Hendersonville Memory Gardens with Military Honors.
