Hubert Carter

Hubert Marion Carter, age 87, of Hendersonville, TN passed away on Friday, September 24, 2021 in Hendersonville. Mr. Carter was born in Fairview, TN on January 6, 1934 and was the son of the late Jesse Marion and Susie Chester Carter.

Mr. Carter is survived by his loving wife Jo Ann Castleberry Carter; son Jesse Carter (Jessica); grandchildren Zander Houston  and Ashtyn Carter; niece Donna Habel and family; nephews  George Kesely, Jeffrey Carter and their families. Mr. Carter was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters Elnar Barnhill and Mildred Louise Kesely; brother Donald Carter.

Services to celebrate Mr. Carter’s life will be held at 12 noon on the afternoon of Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at Hendersonville Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 4-8 pm on the afternoon of Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at Hendersonville Funeral Home and one hour prior to the start of the service. Interment will follow in Hendersonville Memory Gardens.

Mr. Carter served in the United States Army from 1956-1958. He loved working in the yard and fishing. Hubert loved going to Gatlinburg. Later in life he picked up the hobby of woodworking. In the past few years Hubert loved to do word searches.
