Hilda Dougherty

Mrs. Hilda Marie Dougherty age 85, of Hendersonville, TN, passed away on May 12, 2019.

Mrs. Dougherty was born in Gainesboro, TN, on August 2, 1933, the daughter of the late Malcolm Vanhooser and Polly Ann Jones Vanhooser. She attended Cornerstone Church and Hendersonville First Baptist Church. Mrs. Dougherty loved her husband, children, and grandchildren. She enjoyed shopping with her daughter and daughters-in-law. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dougherty was preceded in death by her husband, Lenard Gray Dougherty, Sr. and a brother, Junior Vanhooser.

Survivors include her three children, Donna Gray Rainwater (Joe), Lenard Gray Dougherty, Jr. (Sheila), and Thomas Joseph Dougherty (Deb); eleven grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and a twin sister, Helen Porter.

Graveside and interment services will be held Wednesday, May 15, 2019, at 3:00 P.M., Hendersonville Memory Gardens.
