Herbert S. Hall, Jr.
A Navy man, an engineer, a good friend. His favorite roles were being a husband, a father and a grandfather.
He loved to share new experiences with his girls, including camping in their camper, fishing on a lake, and watching science fiction movies. After one less than lucrative fishing trip, he called his daughter from work the next day to tell her that, yes, in fact, he decided the 2 inch fish she caught was really a fish and not a minnow.
Although he loved his daughters, his grandsons held a special place in his heart. He enjoyed taking them to Bass Pro Shop to look at the fish and bought them each fishing rods. He loved to get down on the floor and build towers from wooden blocks. One of his grandsons asked "would you build a tower with me?" and his answer was always yes.
Always armed with a good joke and a quick smile, he will be greatly missed. He is preceded in death by his parents, Herbert S. Hall, Sr, and Annie Mae Hall, of Madison, TN. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Judy C. Hall, daughters Sonja (Shawn) Flockhart and Christy (Peter) Keohane, grandsons Andrew Flockhart, Justin Flockhart, Daniel Keohane, Aidan Keohane, and sisters Margie (Richard) Mannon and Patricia Pulley.
A private graveside service will be held at Hendersonville Memory Gardens on Tuesday, May 12th.
