Helenmary Hendrix (Clouse) of Gallatin, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at the age of 58. Preceded in death by her father, Franklin D. Clouse. Survived by her mother Mary M. Clouse, Mike Hendrix, her husband of 34 years, children: Rachel E. Hendrix and Benjamin M. Hendrix and his wife, Janessa, siblings: Mike Clouse (Lisa), Kathleen Jones (Jeff), and Timothy Clouse (Robin). Helenmary is also survived by several nephews and nieces, her dogs: Scout and Bailey and cats: Squeaky and Kudzu, along with other extended family and friends.

Helenmary was born on September 25, 1959 in Columbus, Ohio. She moved to Tennessee in 1973 and graduated from Father Ryan High School. She then attended and graduated from Tennessee State University and Vanderbilt University. Helenmary was an accomplished artist who taught art and English at both Hawkins Junior High and Hendersonville High School for 30 years.

She was introduced to her husband, Mike, in 1983 by Regeina Lewis. They were married on May 26, 1984. When she married Mike, she married baseball. She supported Mike and his coaching and acted as a mother to many of the baseball players Mike coached, supplying spirit and cooter juice, along with her famous top 10 lists. She was also known to her family as the "squirrel whisperer, " raising 3 baby squirrels.

Helenmary was a dearly loved wife, mother and daughter who will be greatly missed by her family, former students, and by her Commando Baseball family.

Helenmary will be laid to rest privately by her loved ones at Hendersonville Memory Gardens.
