Helen Wheeler Tidwell, 91 of Hendersonville, TN passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2019. Helen was born April 3, 1927 in Shelbyville, TN to the late Floyd and Roberta Smith. Helen worked with the public for over 70 years at the Bank of Hendersonville and later as a demo lady at Sams Club. She was an active member of the Hendersonville First Baptist Church and the Love Sunday School Class for over 58 years. Above all else, Helen truly loved and adored her family and spent all of her time loving on them. Helen is survived by her son, Charles R. (Fonda) Wheeler; daughter, Mary Jane (Wayne) Raymond; grandchildren, Ninette (Alan) Blackwell, Chuck (Gwynn) Wheeler, Nakia (Chris) Schneider, Staci (Michael) Young, Jonathan (Leslie) Ault, Hunter (Tiffany) Raymond and Natalie (Ryan) Martin; 9 great-grandchildren; her sister, Nelda Driscoll; 2 very special nieces, Kristy (Butch) Harrell and Judy (Paul) Bryant, and several other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles L. Wheeler, Jr.; second husband, James O. Tidwell; daughter-in-law, Susanne V. Wheeler; step-father, Thomas F. Beckwith and brother, Frank F. Beckwith. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 from 9am-9pm at Hendersonville Funeral Home (353 E. Main St; Hendersonville, TN, 37075) and again from 9-10am on Thursday (3/7) where a celebration of life will follow at 10am. Interment will follow at Hendersonville Memory Gardens with the grandsons being honored as pallbearers.
